What is café de olla?
Café de olla is a traditional Mexican coffee brewed in a clay pot (an olla) with cinnamon and piloncillo, an unrefined cane sugar. It is spiced and lightly sweet. Waka's instant version reproduces that flavor profile with Arabica coffee, real cinnamon, and cane sugar, without the pot or the brewing time.
What is té de olla?
Té de olla is a Mexican spiced tea simmered in a clay pot with cinnamon and sugar. Waka's instant version is made with black tea, real cinnamon, and cane sugar, without simmering a pot on the stove.

Frequently asked questions
Are they already sweetened?
Yes. Café de Olla has approximately 4 g of sugar per serving and Té de Olla has 3 g per serving, both from cane sugar, so most people do not add more. Most of the Waka line is unsweetened; these two are the lightly sweetened options.
What is the difference between café de olla and té de olla?
Té de olla is made with black tea and café de olla is made with coffee. Both are cinnamon-forward, lightly sweetened with cane sugar, and three ingredients.
How many cups does each pouch make?
The 3.17 oz Café de Olla pouch makes up to 15 cups at 2 teaspoons per serving. The 2.82 oz Té de Olla pouch makes up to 20 eight-ounce cups at 1 teaspoon per cup.
Can I make them iced?
Yes. Dissolve the powder in a small amount of hot water first, then add cold milk or water and ice for the cleanest result.
Do I need a clay pot or to brew anything?
No. Both dissolve in water in seconds, with no simmering, brewing, or straining.
