S’mores Whipped Coffee Dalgona Style

What is dalgona coffee?
Dalgona Coffee, 달고나커피 in Korean, is a whipped iced coffee drink made from equal parts of instant coffee granules, sugar and water.
The unique feature of Dalgona Coffee is the fact that the coffee foams or in this case “whips.” Not only that, but the coffee can stay whipped and maintain its shape, unlike most foam based coffees that lose their bubbles after a few minutes. What is s'mores?
S'mores is a popular campfire treat made from toasted marshmallows and a layer of chocolate placed between two pieces of graham cracker. According to a Food & Wine Magazine article, the first official recipe for s'mores came appeared in the 1927 in Girl Scout guidebook "Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts."
S’mores Dalgona Whipped Coffee Recipe
Ingredients (2 servings):
- 10 medium size marshmallows
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Waka Instant Coffee
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 2 graham crackers
- Ice cubes
- Milk
- Chocolate syrup
Instructions:
Preheat your broiler/toaster oven.
In a small sandwich bag, break the graham crackers into medium size crumbles.
Melt 4 marshmallows in the microwave for about 7 seconds (using a microwave safe bowl).
In another bowl, using a hand mixer, whip the melted marshmallows, sugar, instant coffee and water until it thickens and becomes one creamy consistent mixture.
Fill 2 clear mugs with ice and milk, leaving enough space for the mixture.
Add the creamy mixture on top of each mug.
Using a metal skewer (or a long fork, one at a time in that case), toast 6 marshmallows by holding them over the heat turning occasionally, until the marshmallows puff and turn golden brown.
Top each mug with 3 toasted marshmallows, cookie crumbles and chocolate syrup. Enjoy!
