After Dalgona Coffee has taken the internet by storm, and inspired millions of people to get creative with their instant coffee, it's time to whip your matcha latte as well.
What is Dalgona Coffee?
Dalgona Coffee is a beverage made by whipping equal proportions of instant coffee, sugar and water until it becomes creamy like a mouse. The name comes from the South Korean word for a local honeycomb-like candy called Dalgona.
Dalgona Matcha?
This Dalgona-style Matcha recipe is a delicious whipped matcha latte made from matcha, heavy cream and milk. Unlike with instant coffee, matcha powder won't froth by itself due to its consistency, so there are two different ways you can make dalgona matcha: with egg whites or with whipping cream. We thought you won't prefer drinking matcha with egg whites, so we chose the whip cream version for this recipe.
