Honey isn't just a great sugar replacement for tea, read why you can use it to elevate your instant coffee as well.
If you have a sweet tooth, there’s nothing that you want more than to add a teaspoon or two of sugar into your cup of joe. Unfortunately for you, we are in 2019 and words like "health conciseness" and "diets" are all over the place, so your love to sugar needs to be re-evaluated.
What if there was a way you could still have that sweet taste, but remain on the healthy side of the spectrum? By using honey in your coffee instead of sugar you are reducing the amount of artificial sweeteners that go into your body, and replacing it with natural sugar.
Just a small amount in your coffee will give you that sweet taste that you crave. Of course like any substance, too much honey is not good for you either even if it is a natural substance. Add honey to your favorite coffee drinks, but keep in mind not to add too much -- you don’t want to over indulge on that delicious honey treat.
WHAT IS HONEY COFFEE?
As simple as it sounds, honey coffee is the addition of honey into your brewed cup of coffee instead of artificial sugars. Honey coffee gives you that same sweet taste that sugar does, but at a much healthier expense. In fact, to some the honey might even taste better than the sugar!
Is it good for you?
When enjoyed in moderation, honey can have substantial health benefits for you. It can help heal wounds, serve as an antioxidant, and even improve your heart’s health! Too much of the substance will not have such health benefits as honey contains a high calorie and sugar count.
Unlike with sugar or artificial sweeteners, honey can provide some amounts of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in your cup of instant coffee. However, it still contains sugar and calories and should be used in limitation. We like our coffee black and without sweeteners at all, so we could taste the quality of the instant coffee. If you must add some sweetness to your coffee, try using some honey instead of sugar.
