Does dark roast have more caffeine than medium roast?
Here, yes. The dark roast packet holds about 2.8 g of coffee against 2 g in the medium roast packet, so it delivers more caffeine per serving. The common belief that darker roasts have less caffeine applies to measuring whole beans by volume, not to pre-weighed instant packets.
What does Waka Dark Roast taste like?

How do you make iced coffee from a packet?

- Dark roast: approximately 75 mg per 2 tsp (about 2.5 grams), or approximately 80 mg per single-serve packet (about 2.8 grams).
- Instant espresso (medium-dark roast): approximately 45 mg per 1 tsp serving. One 3.5 oz pouch makes up to 50 espresso shots.
- Butterscotch Vanilla flavored: approximately 50 mg per 2 tsp (about 2.5 grams).

A standard 8 fl oz cup of drip coffee contains roughly 95 mg of caffeine. Waka Medium Roast at the recommended 2 tsp serving contains approximately 55 mg, which is a little over half the caffeine of a typical brewed cup. Use more powder for a stronger cup.
