Freeze drying is a process by which water is removed from the coffee extract to produce instant coffee without sacrificing its unique flavor and aroma. First, the coffee extract is frozen at about -50° C, which preserves the coffee’s aroma and depth of flavor. Then, it placed under a vacuum where the frozen liquid sublimates. Sublimation is the process of when the ice immediately changes to steam, without defrosting first. On the contrary, the Spray drying method uses hot air to evaporate the water from the beans, which destroys the original flavor and eliminate the coffee’s aroma.
Our quality instant coffee is imported from Colombia with the help of our friendly suppliers in America. Our suppliers are committed to the Waka Coffee values and work only with verified farms in Colombia. While we currently don’t hold Fair Trade or Organic certifications, we are working on receiving these certifications in the near future. In the meantime, we strive for fair payment in our supply chain to deliver to you the finest product.
Pour a packet of Waka Coffee into a mug, bottle, or traveler mug. Add 8 fl oz. of hot or cold water, stir, and enjoy! If you make cold coffee, we recommend adding a little bit of hot water first to dissolve the coffee faster.
Unfortunately, we currently can’t supply free samples. We do, however, run giveaways and promotions from time to time. Join our mailing list and follow us on Instagram to stay up to date on our current offers.
